The Bloemfontein Chamber
of Commerce and Industry, in collaboration with Nedbank, presented a
business breakfast at the President Hotel. The main speaker was Mr William
Janisch, one of South Africa’s foremost experts and speakers on BEE.
His approach to BEE is
realistic, yet optimistic. He understands the immense challenges it poses,
but believes that with a practical and solution-oriented mindset, one can
successfully embrace a new way of making profit. No one who has listened
to one of his talks, walks away without a newfound respect for BEE and
commitment to good implementation.
His presentation also
dealt with the dti Codes of Good Practice. These are issues that are the
most spoken about, but the least understood.
